Digital Metrology

PTB's Innovation Cluster Digitalisation (IC-D) is the responsible internal and external coordinating body for both the digitisation of metrology and the digitisation of PTB.

The IC-D addresses the challenges of digitalisation for PTB by integrating digital technologies into metrology. It promotes furthermore research data management and participation in the National Research Data Infrastructure to ensure long-term accessibility of scientific results. The cluster also leverages AI and machine learning through PTB's AI Strategy 2021 and digital transformation strategy from 2020 (cf. KI Met). Employee involvement is prioritized via training, seminars, and "Digital Workplace" events to foster widespread digital adoption within PTB.
