Semantics

[UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

Vision / What is our goal

[Draft]

Digital metrology products and services have strongly anchored semantics that enable cross-domain interoperability of knowledge.

Mission

  • Promote the embedding of semantics in globally valid knowledge graphs for cross-domain interoperability.

  • Support the creation of globally valid semantics for metrology in cooperation with national, European, and international organizations.

  • Develop innovative applications with semantics in AI systems, services, research, and administration.

  • Possibly additional points from PTB data strategy/digital strategy?

  • Exchange with politics, business, and society to promote and anchor metrological semantics in the digital transformation.

Curation of terminology in context of Quality Infrastructure / QI-Digital / DKE / DIN vocabulary Project

Project title: QI Digital – Tool-supported terminology
(PTB Contact: Daniel Hutzschenreuter, Maximilian Gruber, Jens Niederhausen)

  • Project objectives:
    • Development of a selection and harmonization process for
standardization terms for QI (creation of a controlled vocabulary)
    • Establishment of a QI terminology service (term working tool + DB) that is linked to
    standardization
    • Establishment of common terminology standards in QI
