DCC Storage Service

DME offers a basic DCC storage service for participants’ digital measurement reports, following the DCC-XML schema, for demonstration purposes only.

This basic DCC storage service partially implements the FAIR principles, by allowing digital data to be searchable and findable within the DME, accesible in accordance to the authorized access level, reusable by sharing the assigned persistent identifier (PID), and interoperable by using a XML schema format for data exchange.

All stored measurement reports are digitally signed by a third party, a Timestamp Authority, guaranteeing data authenticity for all users.

This service allows all users to search, verify authenticity, download, link, and unlink public digital measurement reports for benchmarking/comparison evaluation. Furthermore, a registered user can upload both public and private digital measurement reports, becoming the owner of these digital assets, and subsequently share or delete them.

Private digital measurement reports are only accessible by sharing their PID. A private digital document is virtually impossible for third parties to manipulate unless it has been shared by its owner.
