DCC-Launch 2027
In 2027, the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim will start using DCCs as certificates for the 150,000 calibrations carried out annually by its 60 external calibration laboratories. This marks the definitive end of the paper/PDF era in this area of the company.
PTB and DKD will provide support to achieve this ambitious goal.
To this end, DCCs for the following measurands will be completed by autumn 2026:
- Thermocouples (DKD FA 05)
- Absolute pressure gas (DKD FA 06)
- Positive / negative overpressure gas (DKD FA 06)
- Volume flow / liquid (DKD FA 11)
- Volume flow / gaseous (DKD FA 11)
- Measuring instruments for electrical conductivity (DKD FA 08)
- Measuring instruments for pH (DKD FA 08)
- Differential pressure
- Length measuring instruments
- Length measuring devices
- Mass flow of flowing liquids
- Mass flow of flowing gases
Completed and ready to use:
- Standard resistors
- Force
- Gauge Blocks
- Measuring instruments for relative humidity and Resistance thermometers
- Flow Quantities
- Pressure and vacuum gauges
- Weights and weight sets
- Non-automatic weighing instruments
- Clinical laboratory medicine
PTB and DKD in this way ensure that DCCs for more than 20 new measurands will be available to all parties at the end of 2026.
